These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Velocity Hosting. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.
2. Definitions
"Company" refers to Velocity Hosting
"Services" refers to all hosting services, support, and related products provided by the Company
"User" or "Customer" refers to any individual or entity using our services
"Content" refers to any data, files, applications, or other material uploaded to or stored on our servers
"Account" refers to your customer account with Velocity Hosting
3. Service Description
Velocity Hosting provides various hosting services including:
- Game server hosting (Minecraft, Garry's Mod, Rust, FiveM, RedM, etc.)
- Virtual Private Servers (VPS)
- Web hosting services
- Technical support and customer service
- Related hosting infrastructure and tools
4. Account Registration and Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, or have parental or guardian consent
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- One person or entity may not maintain multiple accounts without prior written consent
5. Acceptable Use Policy
Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
Legal Violations
- Any illegal activity under UK, EU, US, or applicable local laws
- Copyright, trademark, or intellectual property infringement
- Distribution of pirated software, games, or media
- Fraud, phishing, or identity theft
Network Abuse
- Denial of Service (DoS) or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
- Port scanning, network probing, or vulnerability scanning
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system or network
- Spamming via email, forums, or any other medium
- Operating open proxies, open relays, or similar services
Content Restrictions
- Adult content, pornography, or sexually explicit material
- Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
- Violence, terrorism, or extremist content
- Gambling services (where prohibited by law)
- Drug-related content or illegal substances
Resource Abuse
- Cryptocurrency mining
- Excessive resource usage that impacts other customers
- Running multiple game servers on single-server plans
- Reselling services without authorization
6. Payment Terms
Billing and Payment
- All services are billed in advance on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis
- Invoices are generated 7 days prior to the service renewal date
- Payment is due on the invoice due date (service renewal date)
- We accept major credit and debit cards and PayPal
- All prices are listed in British Pounds (GBP) including applicable VAT
- Services may be suspended for non-payment after 7 days
Refund Policy
- New customers receive a 7-day money-back guarantee (first order only)
- Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of initial service activation
- Setup fees, domain registrations, and SSL certificates are non-refundable
- No refunds for services terminated due to Terms of Service violations
- Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method
Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
- Services automatically renew unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal
- Cancellation requests must be submitted through your account panel
- You can choose to cancel immediately or at the end of your current billing period
- No partial refunds for early cancellation after the guarantee period
7. Service Level Agreement
Uptime Guarantee
- We target 99.9% network uptime for all services
- Planned maintenance windows are excluded from calculations
- Downtime is measured from our monitoring systems
- Users must request credits to be applied to their account if extended unplanned outages occur
Support Response Times
- Critical issues (server down): 30 minutes - 2 hours
- High priority issues: 2-6 hours
- Medium priority issues: 6-24 hours
- Low priority and general inquiries: 24-48 hours
8. Data Protection and Privacy
Data Security
- We implement industry-standard security measures
- Regular automated backups are performed (but not guaranteed)
- You are responsible for maintaining your own data backups
- We are not liable for data loss due to hardware failure or other causes
Privacy and GDPR Compliance
- Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- We comply with GDPR and UK data protection regulations
- You have rights to access, rectify, and delete your personal data
- Data retention periods are outlined in our Privacy Policy
9. Suspension and Termination
Grounds for Action
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for:
- Violation of these Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
- Non-payment of invoices
- Illegal activity or law enforcement requests
- Abuse of system resources affecting other customers
- Providing false information during registration
Process and Data Retention
- Immediate suspension may occur for serious violations
- Account holders will be notified of suspension reasons when possible
- Suspended accounts have 7 days to resolve issues
- Data is retained for 7 days after termination, then permanently deleted
- No refunds for terminated accounts due to policy violations
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for services in the 12 months preceding any claim
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- You acknowledge that internet connectivity and hardware can fail
- Force majeure events are excluded from our liability
11. Governing Law and Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
- Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of English courts
- We encourage resolution through direct communication first
- Mediation may be pursued before formal legal proceedings
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or account notifications at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
